For DC Bound Vintage at Union Market in Washington, D.C., I curated an entire collection of one-of-one, hand-painted pieces created specifically for the event. As one of the largest vintage markets in the DMV, with an additional location in Brooklyn, DC Bound Vintage attracts a community that truly appreciates individuality, creativity, and wearable art, making it the perfect audience for my work. In the weeks leading up to the market, I spent countless hours designing, creating, photographing, and promoting the collection across social media while preparing every detail of my booth. From hand-painted clothing and accessories to original artwork, every piece was made with the intention of giving someone something they couldn't find anywhere else. Hosted at the iconic Union Market, the event welcomed over 1,000 attendees throughout the day. It was incredibly rewarding to watch so many people connect with my work and leave with pieces that now have a new home. Beyond the sales, one of the most meaningful parts of the experience was meeting talented artists, vintage collectors, and so many kind, creative people who shared a love for original, handcrafted work. Experiences like this continue to inspire me and reinforce my passion for creating one-of-one pieces that allow people to express themselves through art.
