The Story
Frederick Vintage Fest was one of the largest and most exciting events I have participated in to date. Spanning three buildings and over 20,000 square feet, the festival brought together more than 120 vendors and welcomed an estimated 2,000+ attendees throughout the day. Being part of an event of this scale was an incredible opportunity to introduce Jaysdraftz to a wider audience and connect with a diverse community of shoppers, artists, collectors, and small business supporters.
For this event, I curated and brought a collection of one-of-one handmade and hand-painted pieces that reflected the heart of my brand. From wearable art and tote bags to jewelry, clay creations, and other unique handmade goods, every item displayed was designed and created by me. My goal was to offer customers something truly original—pieces they could not find anywhere else.
Beyond creating the inventory, I independently managed every aspect of the event experience. This included planning and preparing inventory, designing and setting up the booth display, merchandising products, handling sales, and providing customer service throughout the day. Every detail, from the visual presentation of the space to the conversations shared with customers, was thoughtfully executed to create a welcoming and memorable shopping experience.
One of the most rewarding parts of the festival was the opportunity to engage directly with attendees. I spent the day communicating with customers, sharing the stories behind my work, answering questions about my creative process, and building genuine connections with people who connected with the vision of Jaysdraftz. The event also provided valuable networking opportunities with fellow artists, makers, and entrepreneurs, allowing me to expand my community while learning from other creatives.
Frederick Vintage Fest was a milestone event for my business and a reflection of the dedication, creativity, and passion that goes into every part of Jaysdraftz. From concept to creation, setup to customer interaction, every aspect of the operation was managed by me, making this experience both a personal and professional accomplishment. ✦
